Contemporary stone villa with mountain views
A two-storey villa of natural stone volumes and projecting concrete roofs, with full-height glazing and a front pool that mirrors the building.
Brief
The owner asked for a family villa on a plot with an open mountain view, in a contemporary style based on natural stone, with a pool, an outdoor seating area and a covered parking canopy.
Design decision
The building is organised as vertical stone volumes carrying horizontal concrete roofs, so the main facade opens fully to the view through floor-to-ceiling glass. The horizontal projections shade the interior in summer and define the terraces. Rough, irregular stone cladding separates the volumes from the smooth concrete.
Outcome
A design package with elevations, day and night visualizations and an analysis board that specifies every material by location, colour and texture, plus an opening schedule with approximate dimensions ready for the construction drawings.
